2009 Training at Camborne Parish Church
My job is to release people into ministries. One essential path to that is through study God’s Word together. This is open to anyone who is interested. The training is all Biblically based and each session involves Bible study, group work and teaching. You can come to all, some or just one. You can bring friends along too!
ON the 1st TUESDAY in every month from 7.30pm
February ~ Exploring the materials for LENT – ‘Discovery’. This 6 step course takes us on a journey of discovery about our own community. It aims to: to build confidence in working together as a team, to reflect on the mission of the church to vulnerable and marginalised people and to initiate positive change in the community.
March ~ Growing Leaders – Session 6 Growing People: How do we help others to grow as disciples and leaders?
April ~ Growing Leaders – Session 7 Working Together: We look at group needs, common dysfunctions of teams and how to work well together
May ~ Growing Leaders – Session 8 Embracing Cost: Too many people have unrealistic expectations of Christian leadership – we identify the cost and how to handle the costs.
June ~ Interactive Preaching Part A: how to unpack scripture in a post modern world
July ~ Interactive Preaching Part B: how to help people to engage with scripture

October ~ A worship leaders guide 1: What is the worship journey and how do we help people to become hungry for God?
November ~ Advent – Sharing the Light 2: How do we share more of Christ’s light with more of His people. The next step…
December ~ A worship leaders guide 2: Choosing songs/hymns, knowing your audience, practicalities and leading as a individual.
