As many readers will be aware these have been running on a monthly basis for many years and have provided Church funds with a small but regular source of finance. They also provide another week of Saturday lunchtime menus, an addition to this being the onset of Outreach Lunches on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Saturdays.
It has unfortunately become increasingly obvious to the stallholders and ourselves, as organisers, that the support/response from general Church members, either as buyers or sellers, has become virtually non-existent and therefore we regrettably have decided that at the end of 2009 the monthly markets will cease. We would like to thank those few who have supported these events and hopefully, subject to P.C.C. approval, will continue to organise stalls on Trevithick Day in the future.
This information has been given at this time in the hope that someone, or organisation, will take up the challenge of a monthly Church event for funds.
